Kiwami Goodies

I'm a bit late on this, admittedly. I received an initial "care package" from Kiwami with all sorts of goodies a few days before Syracuse and wanted to share a bit about what was included!

As you can see from the photo above, I'm treated well! Lots of stuff to check out and I love checking out gear! A list of what was included:
I had to size down on a few things (arm warmers and coolers) but have been using everything else since it arrived.

While everything is fantastic, one item has really stuck out and has become my new favorite piece of gear. The "Jammys" as named by Kiwami, are jammers or more simply, what I swim train in. I was previously using a standard pair of jammers from Speedo and comparatively speaking on all levels of construction to material, the Kiwami Jammys really are on another level. The seems are in all the right places and I've never had an issue with rubbing. The, um, front side has an additional layer of soft fabric lining the short to provide comfort and reduce...unsightly man issues (I assume). They fit nice and snug and provide a bit of compression which is welcome as my swims are generally after a run and the compression feels good. Not claiming performance benefits, but just that it feels nice. I've used these 2-3 times a week since I've got them for at least an hour at a time in the pool and they're holding up like a champ! Again, the quality of construction on these compared to the Speedos is far superior.

Can't wait for my custom race kit for Ironman Arizona!

Also, Kiwami is about to release a new line of cycling gear for 2012. I hope to get my hands on some of it at some point and will share my thoughts as soon as I do. And will be sure to provide more pictures with details since words only go so far!
